I have worked in Occupational Health since 2018 after several years in General Medicine and Paediatric Cardiology at Starship Hospital. Since gaining my Undergraduate degree, I have gone on to complete a Postgraduate Diploma and a Speciality Certificate in Diabetes Care.

Occupational Health is the area I am most passionate about as it allows the opportunity to meet with your staff to ensure they are safe and fit for work.

I bring my bubbly personality and range of skills gained from my broad background. I enjoy educating clients and encouraging them to take charge to improve their health in ways that are achievable for them.

I look forward to meeting you soon.

Lisa McOnie

Occupational Health Nurse - Bay of Plenty

I first qualified as a nurse, in 1987 in Rotorua, at Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology.   I have spent most of my life living and working in Tauranga, except for short stints living/working in the UK and Australia. While living in the UK I completed my midwifery training.

I have two adult daughters, and as yet no grandchildren. I have worked 30 years as a midwife and have been interested in Occupational Health and recently had the opportunity of joining the team. Your workplaces and industries are fascinating to me and it’s a different focus of health risks and safety.  I see this a pivotal area for your businesses to be successful and look after your most important asset, your staff.
